April 2020 General Conference Jeopardy

Find the April 2021 General Conference Jeopardy here!

WOW! What a beautiful General Conference to experience. From the “Hosanna Shout” to a new Proclamation to having two youth speakers to new temples (Dubai! Shanghai!) this will definitely be a conference to remember and write about in our journals.

Here is a General Conference Jeopardy to play with your family to see how well you paid attention.

April 2020 General Conference Jeopardy

This version of Jeopardy includes questions from every single speaker from all five sessions on Saturday and Sunday. Download the April 2020 General Conference Jeopardy game at the bottom of this post.

The categories for the first round are: New & Different, What is the Subject, Stories Told, Words of a Prophet, and Grab Bag.

The categories for Double Jeopardy are: Prophets & Apostles, Doctrinal Mastery, Words of Wisdom, What Shall We Do, and The Restoration.

Also the Words of the Prophet category are from President Russell M. Nelson from this past conference. The doctrinal mastery are all from the Book of Mormon.

GAME INSTRUCTIONS

Each team must have a copy of the scriptures! The Doctrinal Mastery category covers stories or references given in General Conference talks since this is the book of study for seminary students for this year.

Open the game in PowerPoint Viewer. Depending on your version of PowerPoint you will be asked if you want to enable macros. Yes, you do! You might also have to push “play” in the upper right of your screen again depending on your version of PowerPoint.

Click through the first screen to get to the game board. A student picks a category and a dollar amount. You click on that dollar amount and it will take you to the question. Another click will take you to the answer. THEN click on the green triangle at the bottom of the answer slide and it will take you back to the game board. Hopefully the question previously picked will now be dark and only the “unasked” questions will be highlighted. When you finish Round 1 you will click on the Round 2 box and repeat as above. When you finish round 2 you will then click on Final Jeopardy.

Many people open the game to try it out and then get worried because the amounts will darken after they are clicked on. Don’t worry! To reset the game all you need to do is close it out and reopen it.

You will need to keep score as the powerpoint won’t do that.

EDIT: I do know I misspelled Elder Andersen’s name! Oops!

Have fun!

I recommend downloading both the powerpoint and the pdf file.

This is so fabulous!!! Thank you! We sat down for FHE tonight and I pulled this up while asking for my family’s patience. Then I turned the computer around and the kids gasped and said, “You just did that?! How did you do that so fast?!” Hahaha! Nope – someone else did it and is blessing us too. <3
