April 2021 General Conference Jeopardy

April 4, 2021 by Montserrat | 11 Comments

CLICK HERE for the October 2021 General Conference Jeopardy!

Another wonderful General Conference is in the books. Did you catch all the new temples that were announced!! There is a new one for our area (Elko, Nevada) that we are super excited about.

This version of Jeopardy includes questions from every single speaker from all four general sessions on Saturday and Sunday. Download the April 2021 General Conference Jeopardy game at the bottom of this post. There is also a link to a Google Slides version for those who don’t have powerpoint.

The categories for the first round are: Words of Wisdom, Prophets and Apostles, Stories Told, This and That, and Invitations to Act.

The categories for Double Jeopardy are: Lists Given, Music, Who Said It?, Doctrinal Mastery, and Words of a Prophet.

The Words of the Prophet category are from President Russell M. Nelson from this past conference. The doctrinal mastery are all from the Doctrine and Covenants.

GAME INSTRUCTIONS

Each team must have a copy of the scriptures! The Doctrinal Mastery category covers references given from the Doctrine and Covenants since this is the book of study for seminary students for this year.

Open the game in PowerPoint Viewer. Depending on your version of PowerPoint you will be asked if you want to enable macros. Yes, you do! You might also have to push “play” in the upper right of your screen again depending on your version of PowerPoint.

Click through the first screen to get to the game board. A student picks a category and a dollar amount. You click on that dollar amount and it will take you to the question. Another click will take you to the answer. THEN click on the green triangle at the bottom of the answer slide and it will take you back to the game board. Hopefully the question previously picked will now be dark and only the “unasked” questions will be highlighted. When you finish Round 1 you will click on the Round 2 box and repeat as above. When you finish round 2 you will then click on Final Jeopardy.

Many people open the game to try it out and then get worried because the amounts will darken after they are clicked on. Don’t worry! To reset the game all you need to do is close it out and reopen it.

You will need to keep score as the powerpoint won’t do that.

HAVE FUN!

I recommend downloading both the powerpoint and the pdf file.

GOOGLE SLIDES

Here is a link to the game in Google Slides. Click on the “Present” button in the upper right corner of the screen to play. Use the instructions above for the powerpoint to play. Google Slides WILL NOT change the link color once a question has been chosen so you will need to keep track of which category/dollar amounts have already been answered as well as keep track of the score.

Regular Jeopardy has two rounds – Jeopardy and Double Jeopardy – with five categories each (50 questions total for the game). It includes questions from every single speaker from all four sessions on Saturday and Sunday. It can take a long time to play (at least two seminary class periods or two family home evening lessons).

Speed Jeopardy has one round consisting of six categories (30 questions total). It does not cover all the speakers. All of the questions in Speed Jeopardy are also in Regular Jeopardy.

Games are played with Powerpoint. Links to Google Slides are at the bottom of the post for those who don’t have Powerpoint.

To help families be more intentional with their Ea To help families be more intentional with their Easter celebration I thought I’d share here a FREE 30 day Easter Countdown that I created in 2012 and shared on my other blog back then. This 30 day countdown to Easter utilizes The Living Christ: The Testimony of the Apostles. Each day focuses on a portion of that document – either a sentence or a paragraph or a name of Christ.

There are scriptures to read, discussion questions, and even additional activity ideas for each day!

Hello! Welcome to A Gospel Centered Home. I’m Mont Hello! Welcome to A Gospel Centered Home. I’m Montserrat. My husband, Joseph, and I have eleven children. We’ve raised them on lots of love and land on a farm in Northern Nevada. Four of our daughters are married and another will be getting married this Saturday! (Last photo) Our 10th grandchild was born December 30th! We currently have a son serving as a missionary in the Michigan Detroit Mission. We still have four children at home.

One highlight of 2025 was getting to help with the open house for the Elko Nevada Temple. It was a memorable experience.

In our many years of parenting we have learned that teaching the gospel can be really simple. You don’t need a lot of fluff. The church has produced a TON of resources for parents over the years. Each week I link to those free resources on church websites to help you teach your children. I try to find a wide variety of activities, articles, music, artwork, and videos. While I often forget to post here on Instagram, I always post on the blog. You can find the link in the profile.
