Poster – “Old Testament Overview” – Print and hang this poster to help you see some of the people in the Old Testament you will learn about this year.

Video – The Blessings of Scripture – As part of the 400th anniversary of the King James Bible, consider our blessings and responsibilities in having God’s word so readily available. (3:03 minutes)

Video – The Holy Bible – The Holy Bible is a sacred book that contains the word of God. It foretells the coming of Jesus Christ and describes His life, mission, and sacred role as the Son of God and Savior of the world. (1:39 minutes)

Children

Activity – Heavenly Father Made Covenants with People in the Old Testament – Coloring page

Activity – Scripture Hide and Seek – You can learn about Jesus Christ in the Old Testament! Cut out the cards and have one person hide them around the room. Then search for the hidden cards. When you find one, look up the scripture and read it together.

Video – Come Learn the Old Testament – Get excited to study the prophets of the Old Testament and learn how they prepared the way for Jesus Christ. Gospel for Kids (1:24 minutes)

This 30 day countdown to Easter utilizes The Living Christ: The Testimony of the Apostles. Each day focuses on a portion of that document – either a sentence or a paragraph or a name of Christ.

There are scriptures to read, discussion questions, and even additional activity ideas for each day!

Hello! Welcome to A Gospel Centered Home. I’m Mont Hello! Welcome to A Gospel Centered Home. I’m Montserrat. My husband, Joseph, and I have eleven children. We’ve raised them on lots of love and land on a farm in Northern Nevada. Four of our daughters are married and another will be getting married this Saturday! (Last photo) Our 10th grandchild was born December 30th! We currently have a son serving as a missionary in the Michigan Detroit Mission. We still have four children at home.

One highlight of 2025 was getting to help with the open house for the Elko Nevada Temple. It was a memorable experience.

In our many years of parenting we have learned that teaching the gospel can be really simple. You don’t need a lot of fluff. The church has produced a TON of resources for parents over the years. Each week I link to those free resources on church websites to help you teach your children. I try to find a wide variety of activities, articles, music, artwork, and videos. While I often forget to post here on Instagram, I always post on the blog. You can find the link in the profile.
