Activity – Who Am I? (A Church History Mystery) – Guess which person in Church history these clues tell about. The answer is Emma Smith.

Article – A Faithful Girl Named Emma – A retelling of the early life of Emma Smith. Includes an activity to match facts about Emma Smith with corresponding pictures.

Article – Joseph and Emma – An illustrated retelling of several stories about Joseph and Emma Smith.

Audio – The First Miracle in the Church – A Primary teacher and children learn about the first miracle of the Church and the beginning of persecution of Church members. After the second meeting, more people were baptized and joined the Church. Joseph Smith gave a blessing to Newel Knight and casted Satan out. Mobs began persecuting the Saints.

Audio – Samuel Smith’s Mission – A Primary teacher and children learn about Samuel Smith’s mission. Samuel Smith was the first missionary of the Church. He had a hard mission but was able to convert many people, including Brigham Young, who would later become the second President of the Church.

Audio – Joseph and Emma – A Primary teacher and children learn more about Joseph and Emma Smith. Emma is commanded to begin putting together hymns to be included in the first hymnal of the Church. A song from the righteous is a prayer unto the Lord.
