Activity – Symbol Sketch-and-Guess – This family-friendly activity from the Ensign can help your family better understand the many key symbols in the book of Revelation.

Activity – Journal Page – Invite family members to use this journal guide to help them recognize when and how Heavenly Father has helped them overcome challenges.

Activity – The Plan of Salvation Equals LOVE – Use this as a family home evening lesson to not only teach the plan of salvation but to show hoe Jesus Christ is a part of every step of the plan.

Video – What Is the Purpose and Meaning of Life? | Now You Know – Where did we come from? Why are we here on earth? And where do we go after we die? We’ve all asked these questions hoping to discover the purpose of life. Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints believe that God has a plan for us. It’s called the plan of salvation, and it contains the answers to life’s questions. Jesus Christ is the central figure in God’s plan.

Children

Activity/Article – A Testimony of Truth – An article that explains who John is, what he wrote about, and includes a picture to color.

I can shine the Savior’s light.

Music – This Little Light of Mine – Musical number from Friend to Friend: Covenants and Blessings, originally broadcast in September 2023.

Video – Jesus Is Our Light – Draw with Me

Video – Shine Your Light so Others Can See – Sister Cordon shares a childhood experience when Elder L. Tom Perry of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles was hosted by her family on their farm in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Activity – I Can Invite Jesus Christ into My Life – Color and hang on your doorknob.

Activity/Article – Jesus at My Bedside – In this story from the Friend, a boy who is afraid of the dark is comforted by thinking about the Savior. Includes a bookmark to cut out and color.

Jesus Christ is the only one worthy to be my Savior.

Activity – The Scriptures Teach of Heavenly Father’s Plan – This activity from the Friend invites people to match scriptures with corresponding illustrations of God’s plan.

Activity – Heavenly Father Prepared a Way for Me to Return to Him – This activity from the Friend invites people to make a poster showing their path back to Heavenly Father.

Article – Why Is Jesus Christ So Important to Us? – Dallin H. Oaks answers this question in a message adapted for the Friend.

If I am committed to the Savior’s gospel, I will receive great blessings in heaven.

Activity – Choose the Right Way – A maze-like game that uses pictures of right and wrong choices. Includes ideas for parents to teach about how good choices make us happy.

Article – The Harvest – Elder Aoyagi of the Seventy tells the story of how he was blessed for wanting to attend church as a child.

Youth

How Does Jesus Christ Make Heavenly Father’s Plan Possible?

Activity – The Plan of Salvation Equals LOVE – Use this as a lesson to not only teach the plan of salvation but to show hoe Jesus Christ is a part of every step of the plan.

Article – Answering Questions about the Plan of Salvation – This article from the New Era contains short answers you can give when people ask you about the plan of salvation, including “What is the role of Jesus Christ?”

Article – Behold the Man! – Those who find a way to truly behold the Man find the doorway to life’s greatest joys and the balm to life’s most demanding despairs.

Youth & Adults

Article – The Book of Revelation: A Testament to the Lamb of God – The key to understanding the book of Revelation is to simply remember why it exists: to testify of the mission, mercy, and majesty of Christ.

Article – Understanding the Book of Revelation – In this Ensign article Bruce R. McConkie uses a question-and-answer format to explain the background and teachings of the book of Revelation.

Article – Joseph Smith and the Book of Revelation – This Ensign article explains how Joseph Smith contributed to our understanding of the book of Revelation.

Teaching Resources – Come Follow Up: Revelation 1-5 – Artwork, quotes, and video clips to aid teachers in leading the discussion for this lesson.

John’s vision teaches about Heavenly Father’s plan to save His children.

Article – Messages of the Book of Revelation for Latter-day Saints – Four passages in the book of Revelation with specific application to Latter-day Saints reveal that God will care for and protect His followers in the last days.

To help families be more intentional with their Ea To help families be more intentional with their Easter celebration I thought I’d share here a FREE 30 day Easter Countdown that I created in 2012 and shared on my other blog back then. This 30 day countdown to Easter utilizes The Living Christ: The Testimony of the Apostles. Each day focuses on a portion of that document – either a sentence or a paragraph or a name of Christ.

There are scriptures to read, discussion questions, and even additional activity ideas for each day!

Hello! Welcome to A Gospel Centered Home. I’m Mont Hello! Welcome to A Gospel Centered Home. I’m Montserrat. My husband, Joseph, and I have eleven children. We’ve raised them on lots of love and land on a farm in Northern Nevada. Four of our daughters are married and another will be getting married this Saturday! (Last photo) Our 10th grandchild was born December 30th! We currently have a son serving as a missionary in the Michigan Detroit Mission. We still have four children at home.

One highlight of 2025 was getting to help with the open house for the Elko Nevada Temple. It was a memorable experience.

In our many years of parenting we have learned that teaching the gospel can be really simple. You don’t need a lot of fluff. The church has produced a TON of resources for parents over the years. Each week I link to those free resources on church websites to help you teach your children. I try to find a wide variety of activities, articles, music, artwork, and videos. While I often forget to post here on Instagram, I always post on the blog. You can find the link in the profile.
