Children

I can follow Jesus Christ by standing for the right. I will be a witness of Jesus Christ.

Article – Standing for Righteousness – Elder Wolfgang H. Paul of the Seventy shares how he stood for his beliefs even when classmates and teachers teased him.

Audio – Saul Learns About Jesus, Peter Brings Tabitha Back to Life – A Primary teacher and children discuss how Peter and Paul were each called to lead the Church and teach the people about the Savior. We learn of Paul’s conversion as he was on the road to Damascus. We also learn of Peter as he raised a woman named Tabitha from the dead. Both Peter and Paul had many powerful experiences and did many wonderful acts of service, just like the Savior Himself. Learning about these good men and following their example will help us grow closer to Jesus. We may not be called to be Apostles, but we can still do our part in helping our family and friends come unto the Savior.

Story – Choosing to Choose the Right – Abbey decides to choose the right when a new friend wants her to break a school rule.

The Holy Ghost inspires me to share the gospel with others.

Article – Stephen the Martyr – a simple retelling of the story

Audio – Wicked Men Kill Stephen – A Primary teacher and children discuss two different stories that show the trials faced by the Apostles and the early Church. Stephen and James were called upon to give their lives in the face of opposition, and Peter was called to teach of the sacredness of the priesthood. If we are righteous we will be given the ability to overcome the opposition of Satan; it may not always come in the way that we hope or expect, but if we listen to the Lord, like the early Apostles, we will be able to know how to withstand any trials that come our way.

Resisting the Holy Ghost can lead to rejecting the Savior and His servants.

To help families be more intentional with their Ea To help families be more intentional with their Easter celebration I thought I’d share here a FREE 30 day Easter Countdown that I created in 2012 and shared on my other blog back then. This 30 day countdown to Easter utilizes The Living Christ: The Testimony of the Apostles. Each day focuses on a portion of that document – either a sentence or a paragraph or a name of Christ.

There are scriptures to read, discussion questions, and even additional activity ideas for each day!

Hello! Welcome to A Gospel Centered Home. I’m Mont Hello! Welcome to A Gospel Centered Home. I’m Montserrat. My husband, Joseph, and I have eleven children. We’ve raised them on lots of love and land on a farm in Northern Nevada. Four of our daughters are married and another will be getting married this Saturday! (Last photo) Our 10th grandchild was born December 30th! We currently have a son serving as a missionary in the Michigan Detroit Mission. We still have four children at home.

One highlight of 2025 was getting to help with the open house for the Elko Nevada Temple. It was a memorable experience.

In our many years of parenting we have learned that teaching the gospel can be really simple. You don’t need a lot of fluff. The church has produced a TON of resources for parents over the years. Each week I link to those free resources on church websites to help you teach your children. I try to find a wide variety of activities, articles, music, artwork, and videos. While I often forget to post here on Instagram, I always post on the blog. You can find the link in the profile.
