Gathered in this post are resources to help you teach your family not only the stories of the people in the Old Testament but also the doctrine and principles found in the study block for the Come, Follow Me reading of Isaiah 1-12. There are resources for children, youth, and adults. Every resource linked to is free! Most links are to church websites or websites approved for further gospel study. Choose on thing a day to do with your family or a couple to do for family home evening. Enjoy!

Video – The Prophet of God – Why do we follow the prophet? Because the Lord Jesus Christ has called him and designated him as His watchman on the tower. A prophet does not stand between you and the Savior. Rather, he stands beside you and points the way to the Savior. (3:41 minutes)

Video – Why Would Jesus Call Isaiah’s Words Great? – Isaiah’s writings continue to have a powerful impact on Jews, Christians, and Latter-day Saints throughout the world. Many Book of Mormon prophets allude to Isaiah, especially Nephi, Jacob and Abinadi. Christ Himself said to the Nephites, “great are the words of Isaiah” (3 Nephi 23:1). By understanding a little background on how Israelites read this passage in royal terms, we can gain new insights into how Jesus Christ is not just our Savior, but also our king.
