Gathered in this post are resources to help you teach your family not only the stories of the people in the Old Testament but also the doctrine and principles found in the study block for the Come, Follow Me reading of Psalms 102-103; 110; 116-119; 127-128; 135-139; 146-150. There are resources for children, youth, and adults. Every resource linked to is free! Most links are to church websites or websites approved for further gospel study. Choose on thing a day to do with your family or a couple to do for family home evening. Enjoy!

Video – How to Read Hebrew Poetry (The Book of Psalms) – Much of the Bible including the Psalms, Job, Ecclesiastes, Proverbs, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Hosea, and many other books are written using Hebrew poetry. This can present an obstacle to Hebrew and non-Hebrew readers of the Bible because of its archaic style and poetic form. So here are three ways that we as English speakers can peel back the layers and increase our appreciation for and understanding of Hebrew poetry. Book of Mormon Central (5:20 minutes)

Article – Finding Your Way – We can safely travel life’s journey by relying on the maps of the scriptures and the words of the living prophets and the compass of the Holy Ghost. God’s plan and desire is that we all successfully reach our destination.
